Gear Care Guide
How to clean your gear
To remove light dirt from nylon products, wipe the area with a clean, damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, hand-wash with cold water and mild detergent, then air dry immediately.
Avoid bleach, harsh detergents, or abrasive products. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as this may damage the stitching or hardware.
How to clean metal components
Use compressed air to remove dust, dirt, or debris from metal components, especially moving parts. This helps keep buckles and clips functioning properly.
🔍 Note: Black-coated rings and buckles may show wear over time, especially in areas with friction. This is normal—it's a surface finish and does not affect the performance of the product.
How to clean velcro
If lint, hair, or debris collects on the velcro, use tweezers to remove most of it. Smaller particles can be removed with your fingers. This keeps the velcro strong and effective over time.
What to do after water or beach use
If the gear was exposed to saltwater, sand, or dirt, rinse it thoroughly with clean water as soon as possible.
Sand can cause microabrasions that wear down the nylon fibers over time. After rinsing, hang to air dry—preferably in the shade—to prevent mold on the nylon and rust on metal parts.
Where to store your gear
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not leave gear damp or dirty for long periods, as this can cause material degradation or mold.
How to extend its lifespan
Our gear is built to last using high-durability materials. However, over time and depending on use, signs of wear may appear on stitching, buckles, or straps. No accessory lasts forever, so we recommend inspecting and replacing gear periodically based on frequency and intensity of use.
⚠️ Important
Nylon is sensitive to heat and certain chemicals. Avoid contact with high heat sources (like dryers or hot surfaces) and alkaline chemicals, as they can cause permanent damage to the material.
